Grr...I need a new cd player after being told that my current one would take £100 to repair. It cost me £99 in the first place.

I have a budget of £120 Max and it must be reliable. My last one only lasted 3 years which totally sucks big style.

What do you guys recommend? I don't prefer any manufacturer, though I already have a Technics Tuner and Amp.

Thanks for any help that can be offered!

The NAD in the link above is apparently pretty good. But in this price range, 2nd hand gear is by far the best bet. Look out for an audiolab 800, arcam alpha 7se, or 8, and you could get an awesome player for your money.

I have a modified marantz cd-63 that only cost me delivery (as it was faulty), and the voltage regulater to fix it cost me 30p. Now with all the mods in there it will probably rival decks cost up to £1K
