Yer Sim only only works if you're changing phones every year or so. They why phones have slowed down now I don't see the point. Not to mention you have to drop £550+ on the phone, I'd rather have that cash in my bank in case I need it and just pay monthly.

Keep your eye out for really good 12month contracts, last two I had came in VERY cheap.

I've used mobilephonesdirect most of the time.

Out of interest, were those two contacts signed quite close to the phone being released? Or after a while when the phone was no longer 'new'? :)

Oneplus One 275
Virgin mobile - unlimited, unlimited, unlimited 18 a month, 30 day contract as well.

This is what i'm on atm but with the 30 day contract can cancel whenever I like if I can find a better deal.

Thats now £20 a month and only if you're a virgin customer, if you're not its the same price but only 3GB data instead of unlimited.

I guess that's one of the reasons I'm swaying back to contract, SIM only deals seem to be getting a fair bit more expensive.

When the phones had just come out. Generally only Vodafone do them though.

Think I'm going with a 24month though this time as I've kept my last two phones for over 2yrs each abd they both started on 12month contracts And then on to virgin unlimited for 15quid.

Thanks for all comments and votes

I wasn't overly impressed by the M9 at all during the release today, will hopefully be going for the S6 Edge

If anyone spots any good deals please post them here! :D

With O2 Refresh you can pay the phone off at any time and then you are effectively on a 30 day rolling Sim Only. So that two year contract can be cancelled at any time (with 30 days notice) after the Device plan is paid off. Also, the Airtime plans with Refresh are slightly cheaper than the actual SIM Only deals. And any corporate or friends and family discounts can only be applied to the Airtime side of Refresh contracts on O2 now.

However, on some tariffs the Device cost is higher than the RRP of the phone.

Ok im after some advice and thought I would post here. After a sim only contract and I'm with EE at the moment.

Pay £18 a month for ultd minutes texts and 10gb data. My actual usage is more like 150 minutes, 20 texts and about 1.5-2gb data.

Contract is up and now I'm rolling on 30 day contract so can cancel any time. When I called to get a cheaper deal the best they could do is 13.99 for the same contract bit only 2gb data. Doesn't seem worth it! Does anyone have any suggestions based on my usage? Just after a cheap sim only. Looked at three and virgin (I am a customer with virgin) so may go down this route.
Thanks
