Hi there,

What's the standard OC for an 8800GTX? For example with a Q6600 you would expect at least a 600mhz overclock - what clocks could should I expect for an 8800GTX?

With fan set to 100% you should hit core 620-640, memory upwards of 2100 but I struggled, however shaders to between 1600-1680 should be possible

I found a reasonable core o/c with shaders over 1650 gave best increase

Mine gives me 660/1625/2050. Generally you'd be looking at around 621 on the core and 2000 on the memory, that's a standard overclock I think.

As ten80p said, you should be able to get within the region on 1600-1680 on the shaders.

Hi

My BFG OC2 is 626 / 2000 / 1450 as stock - Ive pushed it a tad higher but nothing more than a few hundred points in 3DM06.

Is there a ration or general rule for increasing the clocks or does one give more than a boost than the others ?

I am using the new version of Riva Tuner to overclock and ATi tool to check for artifacts.
I can get 630/1520/2000 on mine might be able to squeeze more out of the RAM and shaders with better cooling.

Riva Tuner:

Ati Tool:

Good luck to allow for better overclocks you could consider a better cooler, Thermalright and Artic Cooling do one! Good Luck

As above i use these 2 tools also (although not sure if im using the latest rivatuner :P )

Rivatuner is good because it will show you actual clocks, for example. 660 on the core is actually 648, and 1650 on the shaders is actually 1675.
