Looking to do a quick, cheap, reliable office build for a friend. I've found the following components which i think are suitable. Would anyone make any changes;

Corsair 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Memory Module CL9(9-9-9-24) 1.5V Unbuffered Non-ECC £29.02
Samsung SH-224DB 24X Internal DVD Writer with SATA - OEM £11.99
Samsung 320GB 2.5" SATA-II Spinpoint M8 Hard Drive £29.39
Casecom MA-1188 Black Micro ATX Case £15.99
Coolermaster Elite Power 500W PSU £31.98
Trust Optical Mouse - Wired USB - Black £2.99
Microsoft Wired Keyboard 200 for Business - USB - black £6.96
Intel Core i3 4130 3.40GHz Socket 1150 3MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor £82.76
MSI H81M-E33 Socket 1150 HDMI 8-channel audio Micro-ATX Motherboard £35.00

Total is coming in at £246.08 including delivery (budget was £240.00 but I've gone slightly over to get Haswell).

Would anybody make any changes to the above build? Monitor, OS and cables not required. Just the base unit and the cheapest keyboard and mouse.

Would people rather have a Pentium and SSD over an i3 and standard HDD?

I always thought the i3's were miles ahead of Pentiums.

PC will be used for W7, Office, lots of internet browsing, and various basic programs.

Pentium will have enough grunt to handle basic programs which is what you need, the SSD will make the whole system snappy and quick.

A slow hard drive with higher end hardware will make the system slow and feel worse than it is. As you don't need high end horsepower, you won't need a higher spec CPU.

Okay how about the following;

MSI H81M-P33 Intel H81 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £34.99
OcUK Value Imp MicroATX Tower Case (500w PSU) OcUK Value Imp MicroATX Tower Case (500w PSU) £31.99
OcUK USB Keyboard - Black OcUK USB Keyboard - Black £4.99
Samsung SH-224DB 24X Internal DVD Writer with SATA - OEM £11.99
Trust Optical Mouse - Wired USB - Black £2.99
Crucial 120GB M500 SATA 6Gbps 2.5 SSD £53.00
Intel Pentium Dual Core G3420 3.20GHz Socket 1150 3MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor £47.21
Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Blu Memory Module CL9 1.7-1.9V £29.99

Total = £217.16 (£22.84 under budget)

I'm going to confirm with him tonight but I think 120GB will be enough, it's for office use so most of his documents are stored on a server. The HDD will just be needed for Windows and applications.

Isn't my build above cheaper and with a better CPU, HDD & RAM?

I can't seem to find the information through a google but can we boot off the network with that motherboard? I seem to remember it's a pretty standard feature now but wanted to be sure?
