Hi, my friend runs a small business which gets hundreds of email enquires a day along the lines of "can you do a better price", "do you have a showroom", is there a discount for cash" etc

Basically he is writing out the same reply maybe a dozen times a day.

Is there anyway you could set up a "template" and then an email comes in you click reply with "website prices is final" template

Hope that makes sense.

I had thought about setting up a macro copying and pasting the response in but thought I'd chaeck here first to see if there was a better way of doing it.

Thanks.

Edit - he is using MS Outlook for his mail

i save some email responses in the draft folder and copy and paste them in to replies that i send..

also , you can set up a webpage with all the information on (a FAQ) and just email people back a link to it , would that work ?

or you can use signatures, in outlook.

Drafts is an option I suppose but he isnt the best on a PC so would probably mess it up somehow!!

He has a FAQ with most of the frequent questions in there but people dont bother reading it and just email instead!! He wants to maintain a friendly customer service so dont think he would go down the automated sounding "please check our FAQ" email.

in that case, automatic signatures is the way to go

it will add the answer, to every email he replies too. if he doesnt want to send that text then he wil have to delete it
