Hi all

Bit of a niche question but I just can't seem to find S2 tile adhesive with extended working time / standard setting. It's all rapid set stuff for some reason.

Context is I'm tiling a floating timber floor (T&G floorboards) in an ensuite bathroom and even though I've reinforced the joists and screwed the boards down etc., I want to make sure it allows for movement. It also needs to remain workable for a reasonable amount of time i.e. not be rapid set, as I'm DIY and won't be in a rush.

Build up is:

- T&G floor
- Primer
- 10mm XPS insulation board
- UFH mat
- Self levelling
- Tile adhesive
- Largeish porcelain tiles

Thanks.

I had a quick look and all looks rapid set when S2 for me.

Yes it is a ******* to work with! Was there any bounce in your floor? A flexible s1 adhesive might be ok
