Hi guys, I'm sorry and I know its been done to death but each person's situation is different I guess.

I'm going to be purchasing a new GPU (maybe tomorrow) and am looking between the Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming Windforce, and the Sapphire Nitro R9 390.

My specs are as follows:

Single monitor 1080p
4670k OC'd to 4.4Ghz
Corsair 800w PSU
Corsair Vengeance 2133 8GB RAM
etc.

I'm looking to play games maxed out (or as close as possible).
Temps are a bit of an issue as my room gets hot especially in the summer, but I'm moving to a new apartment in September which is a lot cooler so this situation may change.

My current card is an MSI GTX760 2GB.

Which GPU would you recommend for me?

Thanks.

Both are fine for your needs and would work well in that system.

All that can be said is if in future you intend to go high res then the 390 will cope better with its 8gb memory.
