i just received the dell 2007wfp monitor and well impress with it
and this will be my first lcd monitor. i can;t see any dead pixel or banding (a02) so far so good.

one thing, i don't want to break or damage. what is the best way to do when the monitor is not in used and while the computer is still on.


press the power button to turn the monitor completely off
or
let it standby.

Can't imagine it'd make any difference to be honest. I always switch my monitor off at night because the PC stays on, but that's only because it lights the room up otherwise. During the day, I just walk away and leave it to turn off itself.

You're certainly not going to damage it either way, unless you're turning it on and off every 5 minutes.

Always et mine standby unless, the back light is off anyway which is the main thing. My old TFT died and its not because of the backlight, something else internal and that was 3 years on standby.
