I'm rebuilding a PC that's been left in parts for maybe a year now and I've reached a problem right at the beggining! The case is some awful thing I bought at some point - really not named brand kinda thing! The mobo tray has the standoff's pre-built into it rather than screwing in and, IIRC, it came with some plastic caps to put over the standoffs that weren't needed for whatever mobo i was using. Problem is that I've lost these plastic caps.

Apart from the extremly bodge solution of gluing some plastic to the standoffs that aren't needed - or trying to cut them off - does anyone have any suggestions? I've had a google, but I cant seem to find anything that would work.

UPDATE: Cut out some plastic from the top for something or other and then selotaped it to the mobo tray - and it boots fine - yay for the bodge mod!

I've also been working on my main rig and, as it's hot and in the spirit of the bodge mod, I added a fan, but instead of screwing it to anything its attached by those peices of plastic that leads come tied with when you buy something new - fan is angled towards northbridge - temps gone down 10 degrees!
