Stands for large bookshelf speakers

I'm looking for some stands that are suitable for some rather large vintage bookshelf speakers. (265x255x480mm) This is how my room is set up presently. (not ideal and soon to change) The stereo system is moving onto a flexi rack with the AV system, that model railway layout is going to be dismantled and moved to the attic (can't use it due to the hifi anyway) and the car seat is going to be turned into an office chair. The speakers will be staying roughly where they are now.

I've looked through a fair few so far, height needs to be between 40-60cm. These are the ones i had short listed:

Mission Stancette
Atacama Nexus i4/5
Soundstyle Z2ii

Problem is my speakers are so large that none of them have what i believe to be sufficently large bases. (or top plates for that matter) Having had another look the only stands i've been able to find that sound like they'll be a safe bet are the Atacama SL4/500. (one of the only stands that has a base size that is larger than the speaker) Are there any others that are of a similar size that cost sub £120?

This is how they look now they've been cleaned up, do you lot reckon silver stands will go ok with them?

Build some yourself. For £120 you can make something far better than anything you'd buy new for that price - only need a couple of bits and some filler material. You could follow the basic TNT stubby design but instead of using a single pipe, use 2-3, or just use a larger diamter single pip and make the base/top thicker.

SE24's are too tall really (610mm, probably excluding spikes), though the 20's would be about right. Base plate is still smaller than the speakers though. Base plates need to be somewhere around 10" square or more.

Mine are 65mm wider than that though. It's their width that worries me as most stands aren't much wider than 250mm at the floor meaning they might be quite unstable, side to side. Front to back should be ok though as most modern speakers are as deep or deeper.

For reference these speakers weigh in at 10kg a piece. There is a chance i may end up replacing these speakers for something even bigger. (10"/12" tannoy monitor golds)

Looks like the Atacama SL's are probably the easiest solution. What do you guys reckon on the colour? I've found some shots with both silver and black.

I wouldn't want the top plate to be larger than the base of the speaker. You're not going to be regularly knocking into them or having crazy house parties are you?

EDIT: ignore me, I misread your post. Base size is important, fill the stands and it should matter less though

Lol, no house parties, room's way too small for that. Just wanted to minimise the risk of any dipstick knocking them over as they walk past.

Anyway I've just gone and bought the atacama SL400 in black and will be filling them with some kiln dried sand. All done for under £100 delivered.

Stands arrived today. Really didn't fancy wooden stands though which really ruled out DIY as i can't weld yet nor do i own the necessary tools. Their location will remain unchanged but their surroundings will alter as most of the kit over that side of my room will be moving. They haven't really altered the sound at all so their previous perches must have been reasonably good.
