This might be a sad tale of horrible side text...but "Integrity and Faithlessness" is a strange bloody thing to call your sequel.

Regardless, while i wasn't fan of the sheer and unequivocal grind of the previous game, i kinda enjoyed it overall and am surprised to see a sequel (glad).

Does no one like this game/series on this forum or what? Certainly more excited for it than a game I've already played (FF7).

I'm a huge fan of the first 2. Second Story is one of my best games of all time.
I enjoyed it on PS2 also, but didn't get into the PS3 one that much.

Still excited for this though - hopefully it's a step back to when the series was really good.

Please - no annoying 12 year old girl - when they enter a JRPG then i'm out. Unless you don't have to use them and can just put music on when they talk!

I was super happy just to see JRPGs getting some screen time at e3.

Square had no showmanship at all but butween this an Nier i was chuffed with there showing.

I still enjoy playing SO4 every so often, but the grind for all the battle trophies will probably kill me, along with missing one chest. Disappointed this is only for PS as I really enjoyed a lot of the 360 JRPGS, and feel the One needs some.

I still have this on pre-order but I've heard it's pretty poor.

edit...Ooops, it's just been despatched so can't even cancel it and it's also being delivered to my parents and I might not even be back in the UK until Xmas!

My copy arrived yesterday, completely forgot that I pre-ordered it.

Gave it a little go this morning and so far I've found it enjoyable enough to play through, the start is a little slow as it goes through all of the tutorial stuff but I've not found it as grindy as previous games so far (only 3 hours in).

We've got an 18 year old girl with a terrible voice this time, she sounds dreadfully annoying and she's been forced upon the party after the first into section...

I've fallen into the habit of turning off voice audio and just reading the subtitles though so it's not too bad if you don't mind not hearing anyone talk and treating it more like a classic JRPG.
In this one you've got a few options for the voice audio, you can switch between English/Japanese, turn them off completely or just turn off everyone's apart from your character.

I think I'll be doing the same. I played all the classic 90s JRPGs with music on the entire time and that is how I prefer to play them.

So many old RPGs have Soundtracks when I revisit them even now.
(not all of them music I still like though as my tastes have changed since my teens)

I'm contemplating just selling it on to be honest as it'll be another 4 months before I visit the UK again now so seems pointless having it sit there all that time.
I offered it to my friends but all 3 who would actually play it already bought it.

So might just put it up in MM here or on Amazon.

Have you got through it yet?
