Star Trek: Enterprise

Im surprised at the variety of choices in regards to what series people think is the best.

So am I to be honest. I had thought Voyager was pretty much universally derided, but some people are listing it as their favourite of the lot. Seriously, the only redeeming features of Voyager were Robert Picardo (the Doctor) and Seven of Nine's 'uniform'. :p

you're kidding? you know that seven of nine's uniform wasn't a complete body hug don't you?
It had real small patches through-out in order to give an illusion that it was a body hug outfit but it was actually the suit that gave such a shape to the outfit.

yes she looked nice don't get me wrong but there was actually quite a lot of scenes you could plainly see that the suit itself carried her shape instead of her having the shape

I haven't watched Trek in years but based off memory
TNG>Voyager>TOS/Enterprise>DS9

I never really enjoyed DS9, possibly a bit too young to enjoy the higher drama content/slower pace/lack of off station-content when the first season or two were showing on BBC2, and didn't have Sky back then. Perhaps my feelings would change if I marathon'd them now. I didn't see the newer seasons of Enterprise either, and I always found TOS way too overcheesy a lot of the time which TNG reigned in.

So, possibility of a Season 5 though I really don't think that's such a good idea after eight years and I also can't see Paramount (or whoever currently owns the production rights) handing over such a lucrative franchise to something like Netflix when they could use it to launch their own online streaming service. Finally, while I would love to see Star Trek back on the small screen, I fear the only way it'll happen is a show set in the new JJ Abrahms timeline.

Brannon Braga said:
The best possible thing the fans could do is, if they want to see another season of Enterprise, is watch it on Netflix…My neighbor produces Arrested Development, and they’re making a new season of Arrested Development. I recall him telling me that it’s because for that show, they know they’re gonna get… they have data! They know a certain number of people are going to watch that show. I’ve heard rumors in town that the CBS show Jericho might get another season, because the numbers on Netflix are big! Watch Enterprise!

As a long time Trek fan.
An Enterprise been my absolute favourite; This cannot / shouln't happen.
Enterprise lasted 4 wonderful season's, an was cancelled. :(

How would they even get the Actors Actress's back together?
Jolenne apparently has absolutly no interest in any think Star Trek, served her contract to act as T'pol. An never returned...

Once JJ Abram's is finished with his (3 movies? With I loved the first) I'll welcome another TV series set in the new time line with open arms..

Not happy I keep having to watch old series of sci fi, last I watched was Farscape... Probably my fav

My trek preference
Ds9 late
Voyager
Tos/ds9 early
Tng.. Too many bad episodes

I need to watch enterprise, didn't know it had 4 series

b5 > tng > tos > voy > ent > ds9

A lot of it for me comes down to time travel, and how it's been getting worse as we go. In TOS there were a few time travel incidents but they were handled fairly well for the most part. The rest of TOS was enjoyable. In TNG there was hardly any time travel, and the rest of it was ok, even if they did spend more time than I'd like dealing with internal matters, rather than exploring strange new worlds. DS9 annoyed me. It seemed that it was trying to be like B5, but without much in the way of overarcing plot (which was what made B5 great). When they did finally kick the overarcing plot into existence, it was badly handled, and the wormhole aliens were woefully underused (they didn't exist in linear time - so how come things kept coming up that they hadn't forseen/prevented?).

Voyager was a very nice idea, with ok execution. It's been a while since I watched, but iirc at first they had the most powerful ship in the area, and they kept on getting attacked by these annoying little ships, and they never fought back properly. Add to that, they kept on discovering quicker ways to get home, and not using them for some reason or another. The end of the show was painfully stupid. A few years tech advantage is enough to let them kick the Borg's ass? Seriously? When the Borg have been in space for millenia, whereas humans have been in space for a few centuries?

I didn't watch all that much Enterprise. There was so much bad time travel in the first season, it put me off. I will at some point go back and watch the rest, if only because everyone reckons seasons 3 and 4 are the best - but in the meantime I can't rate it all that highly.

Babylon 5 was of course the best, although once they'd moved most of the plot from season 5 into season 4, they should have either called it a day or come up with some good new plot for season 5. As it was, season 5 dragged, and I tend to skip it when I re-watch.

Farscape is brillant.
Especially John, such a tallenter actor.
From normal stressed John, too Peace Keeper captain too freaking mental spur of the moment character (Butch, Kirk, Crazy John.)

Season's 3-4 are the best.
Especially the Third IMO; Believe the hype.
