Star Trek - LEGACY - Any good?

This has caught my attention. Anyone heard anything good or bad about it?

Is the multiple player game going to be as good as the old game where you progress over a series of battles?

Not heard much about it good or bad... wish they had released a demo.... but judging by the videos of the gameplay footage kickign about on the net looks prity dam good.

The UK release date seems to have been put back to 22 December, but hopefully it should find its way into my Christmas stocking

Mmmm ... seems you could be right Matmulder, theres some negative comments being made.

I might still get the game though as there will most likely be patches/mods released to put right various things.

Seems like the problem is that the game was released before it was properly ready, obviously to cash in on the Christmas market :rolleyes:

Well that sums up 2006 gaming imo..... unless a demo releases I wont bother with it... sad to hear all the negativity about a game that was meant to be good

Seriously, Don't get it.
If you ever played Bridge Commander and liked it's rather mild complexcity/simulation, DO NOT GET THIS GAME.

It's complete tripe.
WSAD, F, Space Bar and Primary/Secondary Fire keys is basically it.

Yeah after reading the comments made by people who have bought or played the game it doesn't look good. Some are giving it a right slating.

Unless the developer (or modders) come up with some seriously good patches this one is going down the toilet :rolleyes:

The developers have done all their going to do it (excluding bug fixes).

It's very much in the hands of the modders.

Still sounds good to me. Every PC game these days seems to come out too early. To me it looks like a combination of old star fleet game and bridge commander adding a more 3d feel.

Its still firmly on my Christmas list and at £17.99 you cant really not give it a try if you like the star trek universe. Ordered and looking forward to trying it out on Christmas morning.

After reading forums and seeing how bad it looks, Is still went ahead with the campaign

4 hours later im still playing. It has good gameplay, I will even say the graphics arent that bad (see post on improving it)

Havent even got to the skirmish or multiplayer part yet
