Just getting back into it again. Much has changed it seems and i am enjoying it.

I'm keen to obtain the new kit everyone is talking about i.e. Aegis? I'm not paying 3m e.c. for it in the exchange so that leaves crafting it. The thing is i haven't done any crafting or any real sample gathering as yet. Any ideas how long it will take me to spec it up?

Aegis is free on tribble test server i duno if its free in holodeck tho.

If a lifetime sub was say 60 quid id probs take it but 150 for a game i have access to through a mate but dont even play makes me really not wanting to fork over that kinda money.

Probably about a days worth of anomaly gathering. Levelling up crafting takes no time at all.

Pff i caved and bought it but theirs issues allready. I was charged £184 not £153 so im very peeved off right now due to it was already a large sum of money and i dont work its from backdated benefit which is only way i could have bought this.

If they dont refund me the difference i will ask for full refund and just not bother.

Ok, i set my self the task of obtaining the Aegis kit this weekend and i did it but lol did it require dedication. Spotify in the back ground to keep me sane. I obtained the kit via crafting but as I said earlier I started with no crafting skill and no resources (as I just used to bin the samples as I levelled up to Vice Admiral), so it took a long time.

I achieved the necessary crafting skill by farming the Delta Volanis Cluster exclusively. Must have done this off and on for about 7 hours. During this time I obtained plenty of the rare samples.

To get the 60 x3 samples relevant for the Aegis kit i farmed the B'Tran Cluster (normal, i.e. not VA). This took another 1 hour.

So.. i'm there.. what a great use of the weekend :rolleyes:

Managed to craft myself some nice purple xi gear too with left over resources

Well I just downloaded STO on steam (Wish i'd known about the cheaper impulse place) at 2.4 mb/s but now im patching it and it's going at 100kb.

Guess I'll watch a movie lol

If I played the game properly and made the little effort to perform the odd sensor scan whilst partaking the missions I wouldn't have needed to grind the samples. Lesson learnt. Moral: Scan and keep everything as you go along.
