I am almost 100% you do. Did you get your pre-order open beta code? The open-beta key and headstart key are the same thing if you got it through a pre-order.

Im actually using a fileplanet beta code as havent preordered yet, but i plan to today just want to make sure i get in the headstart.

It doesnt mention a headstart on steam, but then it doesnt on the online atari shop either.

I was playing in the alpha quadrant yesterday in my cruiser. I swear they have messed around with the survivability of my ship. Before i was struggling to stay alive with 3 cruisers, now they hardly make a dent!

Also i just discovered how to properly use bo officers so i now have more than one ability on them

Very usefull.

I think all pre-orders offer the headstart. Just be sure to enter the new key into your STO account.

Yes they have - hopefully just to test it. The game is very, very easy now. I don't want it too difficult, because I want a difficulty everyone can enjoy. But at the moment it is a little too easy. Cryptic have been made quite aware of it on the official forums though :rolleyes:

Ah nice one, think i will go with direct2drive, they mention the head start, plus its same price as steam.

Indeed, I was fighting and winning against +16 enemy mirandas last night. Although trying to take down the majestic battleship +16 levels didn't go quite so well.

I was lvl 15 in a cruiser

Well to be fair, the old tutorial basically showed you that you could make money from mining, and not much else, so a lot of people thought that was the only way to make money.

If you're Federation then check the Shipyard at the Earth Spacedock. You need to be Lieutenant Commander grade 1 though before you can buy your first set of new ships.

new patch going on now, hopefully it will improve ds9. That was really really bad... nothing to do there and no clue what so ever about how many times you need to give data to romaine...

its an open beta, patching is generally a good thing in such phases
