Star Trek: Picard

We not bothering with spoiler tags anymore then?

Don't say it was in the trailers, because I've been avoiding those too.

Not being funny, but if you're trying to avoid episodes and trailers so you don't know what's happening, why are you coming into the thread where the show is talked about...

  1. Anything that spoils the series, film, or hints at what happens is classified as a spoiler and should be labelled as such.
  2. Spoiler tags whilst discussing book spoilers, casting spoilers and anything other than events that have occurred in an episode that has aired in the UK are STILL REQUIRED. You should also indicate the nature of the spoiler (e.g. book spoiler, casting spoiler, etc).

I'm here to discuss the aired episode.

Where did your point (1) come from? That's not what it says here: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/spoilers-please-read-before-posting.18799228/

considering it airs a day later in the UK, you're pretty much all breaking the rules when you rush to the thread to discuss it..... I don't really care but if we're going to talk about following rules then we should all actually follow the rules.

DO NOT POST SPOILERS FOR EPISODES THAT HAVE NOT AIRED IN THE UK YET WITHOUT USING SPOILER TAGS. Spoiler tags are REQUIRED for the first 24 hours when discussing shows that air exclusively on Streaming Platforms (e.g. Disney+, Netflix etc).

Yeah and people are discussion the episodes the day before it airs IN THE UK ON AMAZON.

Yeah. It doesnt bother me personally; Before they closed the US TV sub-forum, we had two picard threads and it was impossible to avoid spoilers anyway. It was the same with Discovery as well, i'm sure that had two threads at one point. But yeah, perhaps some changing to the wording might clarify the rule and i think spoilers for trailer talk should also be included.

So, can we talk about ep3 openly or not yet ?

I still think there is more to the nebula they are in that has yet to be revealed. Those pulses of energy which included biological signatures ( or whatever the phrase was ) hasn't been explained out to me I don't feel.

Lore was once working with the crystaline entity but the Enterprise destroyed it in 'Datalore' - Maybe there is another one in this nebula?

It makes sense it could be something like that. I feel that it was deliberately mentioned more than once in the episode, so there will be more to come of it.

Because everything is a spoiler to somebody who hasn't watched the show at the same time the thread chat happens, so threads would be a pain in the arse to read.

Not everything, but yeah quite a bit I guess. I mean for sure spoiler tags should be used before UK release imo. It's only 24 hours anyway.

This is why I don't understand the way people complain. It's a thread about an ongoing show which broadcasts weekly - if you haven't seen it yet, DON'T COME INTO THE THREAD!

It's what I do, and so far I've had no spoilers for any of the episodes!

I've only watched the first 2 episodes but don't care enough about the show to moan about spoilers, hell I still read things in spoiler tags regardless...
Some people have pretty easy lives if they have the time to moan about stuff like that...

My issue was people were discussing episodes that hadn't aired ie when the show broadcasts clips for the next weeks episode. I stop at the credits to avoid spoilers.

Just a bit of courtesy and following the rules.
