Walked into my local magazine shop today and saw this for sale, unfortunately for some bonkers cost (£90). Couldn't help but notice that it's available for less than half that in the US (which is where I'll be again in 2 weeks).

Anyone tried it. The box looks like the bits with it are interesting. Some very smart looking models.

I really like Armada, probably more than its smaller brother X-Wing. The rules really capture the feel of hulking great spaceships crewed by hundreds of people and the models are lovely.

You can find the core set on the Internet for about £65 if you don't fancy lugging it home from the states.

Armada is fantastic fleet combat and the new Imperial Star Destroyer is out soon. We actually sell it heavily discounted in the family business. We love the game :)

Not taken the plunge with Wave 2 yet as I've not used my wave 1 bits a huge amount - although next time I'm in town and I'm going to pop in to get the rogues and villains set.

Played a game last night and forgot half the rules! Will have another one this week as I fancy joining in a tourney.

Wave 2 changes it significantly. Nothing like a home one broadsiding the imperial star destroyer with fighters scattered around pew pew pew!. :). Rogues and villains is one of our ships bigger sellers.

Morning,

Anyone see the Wave 8 announcement? Adding two new expansions that provide support role.

The Rebel Transport and the Gonzi Transport!
