I will try to stay rational as BF1 was a bit of a let down, but this could be epic.
 
I'll reserve judgement until the reviews come out as BF1 was crap and boring, just like Battlefront.

I do love my Star Wars though, so if they can make the gameplay more interesting i'll be interested.
 
The first was just so bare-bones and had zero depth. If they can nail that and the content then it will be something special.
 
After BF1 and the first battlefront this is going to wait till I play the trial on EA Access.
Its strange that the best game for ages out of EA (TF2) didn't get the EA Access trial, playing that for 10 hours would have sold me on it much earlier rather than waiting for a sale. Even if it limited the campaign to the first chapter, like BF hardline did.
 
i like the first, but then i pretty much like anything star wars, was better on console with the bigger community so more games to play, but one thing i will never understand is like titanfall 2 for example, why do they need to add a single player mode in the 2nd edition rather than the first?, suely even before release of the first a campaign was a 'must have' amongst most of the gamers out there.
 
Maybe making the first with a campaign would take a lot longer because they're starting from scratch. With the second they have models, textures and ideas ready to go so can concentrate on the actual game.

Will be getting this, I like to have a couple of fun multiplayer games to supplement single player AAA's in my library.
 
I was excited for the first one and go the the Ultimate Edition cheap from Colombian Xbox store but it just felt really flat and lifeless to me.

I went back and retried it when the Rogue One DLC came out but still felt underwhelmed so it's going to be a wait and see game this time for me.
 
I'm looking forward to this, I hated the first one when I got it but went back to it a month or so later and really enjoyed it and played it quite a lot.
 
Yeah same. I hated the first when I got it, played it a few times but just couldn't get in to it

But now my two year old is Star Wars obsessed so likes me to play it so he can watch, and since then I've really got into it. Especially with the DLC
 
Watched some guy playing this on Twitch last night. Tempted to pick this up, will play the open beta first, though. The lack of content is what put me off getting the first game. This looks fully loaded. Do we know if there will be additional DLC ?
