Having just come back from Orlando recently, i can tell you the most memorable experience day i had was at Hollywood Studios on May the 4th Star Wars Day! They really get into it! Everyone seriously nerding it and i've never seen so many lightsabers in a single area, was so intense! I love it! Highly recommend it to anyone who is a huge Star Wars fan.

Yeah I went when Disney first bought the Star Wars license and it was pretty cool, Hollywood Studios was fun. I can only imagine it's got better since then

Been twice now, this year and last and both times have been amazing. The queues this time round though have been much shorter, we've had a few walk ons for the star wars rides. Also got to ride Tower of Terror this time since it kept breaking down last time. Such a good ride!

Did you meet Rey? They're binning off Galaxy's Edge in Florida so you chose a good time to go.

We didn't unfortunately, we saw mass crowds gathering so we can only assume a character was in there somewhere but in didn't attempt to approach knowing we'd just be wasting our time.

Yeah Tower of Terror was awesome, one of my favourite rides out of the 3 Disney parks, the queues were short the whole time we were there fortunately

We managed to get on Smugglers run twice both walk ons and one after another with only the 2 of us flying the ship lol! That was fun! Never had back to back walk ons and both times being pilots, gave us a chance to test things without people giving us weird looks.

Galaxy Edge is cool, the Falcon is great to see (though still smaller than pictures make out). Problem is Smugglers Run is utter trash, Rise of The Resistance breaks down every 10 seconds due to how complex it is and Star Wars tours is only good for a couple of runs.

It needs a proper indoor coaster or something but I doubt Disney are too keen on dumping more money into HS and seem to be focussing a lot on improving MK.

I have to admit after the 3rd and 4th goes, it did get repetitive. It was just more a means of trying to beat your old score but half the time you forget what score you even got!

Surprisingly Rise didn't break down much this time, i think in the entire 2 weeks we were there on those days we booked, it only broke down once. The problem is the queue for Rise is ridiculous, usually around 90 to 120mins!

Star tours so far we've seen 3 different clips, last year we got a repeat of the same 2 but this time we got a 3rd which was refreshing.

There's also the lack of fireworks in HS but the movie show against the runaway train building is good.

Back again in July.

We were thinking about the same but baby planning right now so it might not happen. Would absolutely love to do Star Wars Day again.

What annoyed me though.. while we were there they were selling the 2023 May the 4th T-shirts for $35, i bought one! Then the wife googles Disney online store uk and finds them for £13 . Told her its the experience of today and being able to wear it on this day that counts! Secretly i was still abit miffed lol.

I was also there on that day!

We have been in Orlando since April and we leave in June (our biennial 6 week trip).

Hollywood Studios is great and personally my favorite Disneyworld park....and 'Galaxy's Edge' is immense.

Small world! I remember walking up to where all the light sabers were gathering and thinking what was going on, hearing all the chanting and realising it was a light vs dark moment .

Did you see the queues in the evening for all the group shots?

Hey late reply....still here hitting the parks.

Yes we saw the queues for the photos.....I really wanted the Falcon shot.....but decided to hit that one up another day.

Yes its expensive no two ways around it........we usually base ourselves there in a large rental house (myself, my wife, and the kids) and during that time we fly our family out for a week or two at a time to come join us. We never stay in a resort hotel because my wife is vegetarian and restaurant/hotel food has a hard time accommodating it.

We leave in around 10 days now and already have started locking in 2025.

A middle-aged guy and I am like a little kid at these parks.

Envy you tbh, was looking back at all the photos and wishing i could ride Tron and Guardians once more. Probably should plan another trip back but its so expensive, not something so easily achieved without some sacrificing again.

The good thing about our last trip was the dining credit, it really helped so we didn't have to spend a fortune on eating out. We actually ended up trying to force spend the last remaining dining credit we had on gifts instead so bought loads of random bits and bobs in the end.

All those lightsabers, surprised nobody lost a limb?

Im pretty sure i saw a few people getting bashed over the head with them while they pretended they were masters of wielding a lightsaber! It's all fun and games, the heat was too intense though, i don't know how people managed to cosplay in 30c heat in robes and masks! I was dying just wearing t-shirt and shorts .
