Starcraft 2 help

Hello guys, i recently got Starcraft 2 so i am still a noob at this game but i have come across an annoying problem and i really hope someone can tell me why it does this. I can be in the middle of a game and my controls just mess up. When i click on a unit it does not automatically deselect the last unit or building i had selected so i end up with a few buildings and troops selected when i only wanted to select the one unit.

Also when i have selected my units i desire and want to move them sometimes the controls mess up and i end up with this (See picture).

I don't know why it does this, i am not holding any keys in while i select units or command them and it just messes up my game, i can be online when this happens and i have to manually deselect the units i don't want in my unit box as it doesn't automatically deselect them when i click on a new unit. Any answers would be appreciative thanks.

Sorry in advance for a reply too as i want to watch the Chelsea vs Barcelona game.

Make sure Sticky, Toggle and Filter Keys are totally disabled.
You can find these dumb options in the Windows Control Panel - Ease of Access - Make the keyboard easier to use. (Accessibility Options on XP).
You may be spamming control and shift and they're getting locked as 'on'.

Or perhaps you have assigned shift or control to a mouse button? This often breaks randomly with the same locked on modifier as a result.

Or perhaps, for some reason, you are running Steam or some other background application that is stealing key clicks. Again resulting in shift/control being locked.

I very much doubt it's a problem with Starcraft itself.

Certainly looks like your shift key is getting stuck down, either through software of physically.
 
definitely shift key is stuck on. This can happen if you press shift 5 times within a few seconds, which is perfectly possible while playing starcraft. The option to turn this off is in the place vashiro mentioned, it's not a problem with starcraft at all, it's windows.
