starcraft 2 woes

just updated via the launcher to the latest version and now I am getting greeted with a black screen followed by the dreaded "starcraft2 has stopped working ". tried disabling firewall and AV...no difference

anyone else had this issue and managed to sort it?

so now done full reinstall of game and it auto patches so same issue....

also can't find the variables.txt file anywhere to try the Res fix

id say your windows install was bugged....might be a full install time.
I used to get hard closes in SC2 all the time , then figured out its because i went from nvidia to ati and even though i removed drivers etc windows didnt like it and was bugging out big time...had to wipe and reinstall my HDD>

I'm running hybrid xfire so that could be issue ...

will wait til I can afford ssd I think then firmat. canne be bothered to do clean install for one game.

TBH that may be the only thing so far to ahve a problem but I would say wortha fresh install now, rather than down the line if something else also fails?

windows seemed to do some updates today so though I would try and boot up sc2 again. this time instead of black screen had a firewall exception pop up which once accepted....game now runs bang on! good old windows lol
