StarCraft II activation

So I just got back after buying the game and being the clumsy person I am entered one of the guest pass keys upon activation as the CD key is a little tab in the back of the case and the pass was a big code right where they are in any other game. Anyway, I clicked on the CD key upgrade option to try and activate it fully but it says

"Redemption Error
The key you entered isn’t supported here."

I can't find anything on it on google and their phone lines are not letting more through atm.

The only thing I can think of to do is try the CD key again tomorrow when the trial ends.

you need to mail them mate so they can reset your account to let you activate again

Can't you just log into bnet, add your retail key to it along side your trial one and profit?

going to email them now, but i must add that i just created a new account with my alternate email and when i tried to use the code it said
"The following problems have occurred:
The authentication key you entered cannot be claimed. Please try again."

Have you tried using all of the pass time before trying to add your actual game key?
