The unveiling of the new instalment has previously been rumoured for the South Korea event, though we now know that the title is in fact an online spin-off and not a new RTS game as previously assumed.

seems like all the clues are coming together

blizzard hiring staff for mmo, going to announce new game in korea soon

gotta be starcraft mmo, hopefully it wont be an rpg like warcraft but like starcraft meets planetside

Would be plausible. Wow is starting to get old and in 2-3 years something else will have to come in and make more money for the Blizzard cash machine.

starcraft as a well made mmo could work, however as an fps it might become limited unless it was strictly pve as humans, but then as an rpg it becomes limited for the humans due to complete dependence on ranged weaponry compaired to the zerg melee and acid etc and protoss nice melee weapons

good luck to blizzard, if they pull it off itll either be a complete failure or something very innovative

To be honest they could make a damn good mmo stuff based only on the terrans and their frequent wars, but then that just wouldnt be starcraft.

I hope this turns out to be false, I don't want another MMORPG with shallow gameplay, I want a proper RTS that I can sink my teeth into.

Only prob with that is they were hiring for next gen console mmo not pc

I don't think it's that implausible, hoax or not.

SC has a massive following in Asia, which is also a big market for MMORPGs. So they could cash in on the SC franchise and use it to promote a new MMORPG. Much in the same way that the Warcraft franchise was used for WoW, in fact.
