some of them news storys where around them time the hype was growing because blizzard was up to something which later turned out to be starcraft 2

can only see them starting up a new mmo when WoW starts to lose massive amounts of users

I'd put money on it not being a 2nd Starcraft product in development simaltaneously with Starctraft 2. They'd be stretching SC developers far too thin to produce either to a quality they usually pour into their games.

Of course, i'd accept losing money on this bet. But i'd still place it.

I'm not sure they'd place the same developers on it though. The art department might be the same, but the actual programming would be quite different from RTS to MMORPG. I'd imagine they'd be more likely to use their WoW coders on any SC MMO. Although I guess that could run the risk of it being too similar, and I'd guess they'd want to differentiate them somehow.

Well i dont agree. Blizzard are an astute organisation they know that wow won be around or king for ever, they know they need to build on the work and the unexpected success of Warcraft to keep the money coming in in the future. Any business worth its salt knows that if they stay static or take thier eye off the ball eventually is all goes pear shaped. They are smarter than that. I expect another wow expansion (no3) and I expect some announcement about some future mmo development even if its to say that its in progress but 3-4 years from delivery. I would bet a SC or Diablo mmo but World of Starcraft I would bet on.
