Each year, like most companies, Stardock puts together an internal business plan that sets up goals, objectives, and challenges that the company must address.

Part of our internal business plan includes analysis of the state of the products/services we make as well as the results of our customer survey.

Last year, we made this report available to the public and based on the positive response we got for doing so, we?re doing the same again this year.

An interesting read and maybe something those who have no idea how digital distribution works should read.

Yup.

If they can arrange better pricing deals with the publishers for this territory, then Valve better watch out.

I love Steam, I really do, but they do seem to have lost the community "love" they had all those years back.

Stardock do seem to have a nice "ethos" to them.

Seems like a complete rip off of steam!

However it is becoming more apparent that steam are getting a little big in there boots, a little competition can only help!

It looks similiar but only in that it is a client to purchase and download applications to your computer.

Stardock have been at this for a few years and are growing and dare I say, I actually prefer the Impulse client to Steam.

Imitations is the best form of flattery.
Just read the entire document now, there ui seems almost based on steam with the intentions of creating more steam like features.
It is on my one to watch list, if they can do well on the price front it should be a formidable force :)

I'd have no problem with Stardock ripping off the Steam gui :)

One of the few genuinely decent developers around these days.
