stardock + vista64

ok when I was on xp(32bit) stardock's products were a memory hog and really slowed it down, is it the same with vista?? or is it worth getting. I see they've taken vistas dreamscene and tried making money off it

Well I had windowblinds on Vista 63. The PC took a while to boot and I had some strange flickering in some games, so I uninstalled it. Dreamscene is ok but makes my PC freeze if dreamscene is on and I play some vids fullscreen in media player.

no wonder it took a while to boot, sounds like your processor is on its last legs as it's shedding bits (already lost one)

It doesn't actually use that much memory at all. You can disable windows own theme service too which will give you back some memory if you want. A few megabytes here and there is nothing though.
