Starforce question

My boss and I have just been given a 'bought' copy of Chaos League Sudden Death.

The problem is the cd drive on my bosses laptop is dead. Is there anyway to bypass this protection? I have managed to extract the Starforce key from the cd, can this be used?

Sorry, but i assure you this is not a copy, i would post a picture of the cd infront of this thread if it would help.

I know I am not allowed to talk about anything to with cracks on this site.
I was wondering if I could use this key instead?
