OK so there have been rumours of a movie for several years now but now its finally been confirmed by MGM as being on the front burner...

Both MGM and the producers of the SG-1 series have been dropping hints recently that Series 10 is very likely going to be the last, citing reduced returns due to ever increasing actor salaries...

And a third Stargate series

Also don't forget the MMORPG Stargate game in development

Yeah Stargate with Kurt Russell was brilliant. Easily one of the best sci-fi movies of the 90's! Didn't it make a killing at the box office too? Wierd how they've waited so long to do a sequel

Stargate is the most successful sci-fi franchise ever. Beating Startrek and X-files. (This is official, as determined by the number of series/episodes produced, not some drivel I just made up ) IMO that's enough evidence to prove it isn't just a load of crap
