What can I say but Finally ?????

On FEBRUARY 10TH, 2010 FireSky will be releasing the first Stargate PC shooter ever to come to market! "I want to personally thank everyone for their enthusiasm and support. It's incredibly exciting to be releasing our first game as a studio, especially with such a great license," said Shane Hensley, President of the Studio. In this fast-paced 3rd person shooter, gamers will have the chance to be either Stargate Command or the System Lords as they use the Stargate to travel and battle for galactic dominance.

After whats happened to Stargate Worlds, I thought this would never happen!
 
Isn't there an MMO coming out soon for Stargate?

The trailer on that website looks...meh, this is coming from a big SG fan too :(
 
Yeah, the MMO was meant to be Universe, but the developers totally done them over on it, hopefully that will get tuned up and released somepoint.

For little over £12 I'm not sure I can resist!
 
Anyone keep up with what happened to Stargate Worlds? I had a beta account activated a few months ago but forgot to do anything about it for awhile when I came to check it out all the links, etc. no longer worked and there was rumours it was canned.
 
This is by the same devs as Stargate worlds and we all know how well that turned out. Dont have any hope for this :(
 
I believe they are still working on Stargate Worlds and this is being released to give them a quick cash injection.

Still, it does look very meh to be honest. I think someone with more skill than me should mod L4D so you can go on Stargate missions :D
 
Sheesh justed looked at some of the media/video looks like a mod for Unreal Tournament (99)... even I could do better than that.

That'd be awesome. All the common infected could be Replicators.
 
Resistance is being released to fund Worlds, they have basically adopted the model that Runic are using with Torchlight, only thing they forgot to do by the looks of it was make the game very well priced and superb, simple fun.
 
Looks like it was made quite a few years ago gameplay and graphics wise, going from the videos anyway. Is it just multiplayer only?
 
It looks pretty low poly, because they are using the asset's they have generated so far for Worlds, this project is just a few of the MMO asset's without the MMO bits thrown together to hopefully give them enough money to get Worlds out of the door.

Why is it when ever a tv/movie company has an epic lisense they go to the ****est dev they can find?


Is it because all the big ones say okm but you will get this small cut, while these little ones say ok it will cost 100k to make and you'll get 80% of the profits!

I was quite annoyed when I heard the first Stargate game was gonna lump on the MMO bandwagon, then it failed and this took its place. Could someone tell me what I'm looking at here? It appears to be a multiplayer-based shooter, much like the BF series - no mention of a single-player campaign anywhere, and the low price suggests the same. Is this the case? My own research resources are limited by NHS filters.
 
It's going to be trash - they've canned the mmo and are using the assets from it to cobble together a shooter in an effort to claw back some cash.

I'm the biggest stargate fan in the world, but I have absolutely no hope for this.

Same. I too love Stargate but won't be going near this.

You are correct, it is online multiplayer only with no single player campaign.
It does look like a rushed attempt at a meal ticket:(
