I've registered and have even seen some footage on a certain betaleaks site... but i'm not holding my hopes up for it being good tbh. If it is, i'd rather be pleasantly surprised than look forward to it and be disappointed.
Yeah i know what you mean. fingers crossed it wont be a big let down.
The francise does have a lot of potential if the devs doesn't screw it up. If they want to add new content they just let the players 'discover' a new gate address.
I aren't sure there direction is right and having seen some of the early vids my hopes aren't to high.
I don't think they have even started the beta yet but I could be wrong.

It's alpha atm but they have got some people testing it. A guy who was leaking on the betaleaks site was kicked off and told he was being taken to court (the agreement he clicked on said he was liable to a 10k fine if he leaked) - will be interesting to see how that pans out

Closed Beta is ment to start between 12 Sept and the end of the month. From what I have read.

Deserves it. He agreed to whatever NDA is in place, and broke it.
Looking forward to this one, there's so much scope for gameplay. But I've grown cynical of large franchises being made into video games or movies or whatever.

As I mentioned cryptically there, they are setting it in the most boring part of Stargates time line. All the Gou'ald system lords have been defeated, as to the Replicators and the Milky Way galaxy is still being shielded from the Ori.
There's a Stargate Game coming out?!
Is it an MMORPG or MMOFPS type?

The Ori were rubbish anyway! the story could have been so much better, 2 series wasn't long enough... dont even get me started on the last 2 films!

Oh I thought the Ori were the best thing about Stargate, especially season 9 when nothing could stop them. The wrap up movie wasn't as good as it could have been however.
yeah i see what your saying, but i think it could have been made SO much better given more time.
