Could this be the spiritual successor to Freelancer that I've been waiting for for so long?

Trailer looks awesome, screenshots look awesome, game description sounds awesome. I can only hope..

I was looking at it earlier today, I like the look of it and will probably buy the alpha access. I spent many happy hours playing elite a long time ago
