The ablity to see a planet which isnt very close to the earth and are sun is next to impossible in the uk due to air pollution and light polution... also the colour wont change due to the surface of the planet giving out a constant wave lengh of colour.
Well the UK is very big, there are many places in your country where there's a lower level of light pollution and air pollution.. I was just saying some planets doappear to flicker.
You can see planets with just your eyes and no telescopic aid sometimes.
Light gets distorted going through our atmosphere.
This is light bouncing off a planet, not being irradiated from it.
You need to understand the source of light is from surrounding stars, with all sorts of wavelengths.
Some are bound to flicker.
Some of these planets have their own atmosphere as well, doing the same as it bounces off thier surface.
