Lately when ever I been playing a Full screen game and I close out or Alt out my start menu and windows 10 apps stop working completely lol WTH

I have this problem as well. The only way to fix is to restart.

Yeah its a very strange bug. loads people seem to be getting it. Its also very random and hard to trigger it hoping its patched soon.

I get it sometimes, and have to restart explorer.exe failing that a restart.
I got this when I did the "fixes" to disable Cortana and Onedrive. Sometimes it would tell me that the Start Menu had stopped working, sometimes it just wouldn't work.
On a side note, when you alt-tab out of a game with Edge open behind, do you find it's just a black screen and you have to close and re-open Edge to get it back? Another odd bug.
