hi,
i have no idea how easy or hard this would be to pull off, but here goes:
I currently have a hp tm2 convertible tablet laptop, and someone has made a small program that uses the hard drive protection sensor as an accelerometer to rotate the screen (here, page 12 post 117 has the best version of it). Obviously this is great when in tablet mode, but is a bit of a nuisance when in laptop mode. The program itself sits in the icon tray and can be enabled/disabled by clicking on it.
However, it would be absolutely brilliant if it would enable/disable automatically when i switch from one mode to the other. This hp has a synaptics touchpad which switches itself off when i fold the screen down into tablet mode and cover it so i wonder if theres a way of linking the enabling/disabling of the accelerometer program to this enabling/disabling of the touchpad?
cheers
