I built a PC recently and I use it for games 90% of the time.
As its on my tv the desktop didnt really appeal to me (Especially the let down that metro ui turned out to be)

So I replaced windows explorer.exe 'shell' with steam bigpicture so it boots directly to it without explorer ever loading, I can get every other program/game I want to boot/run np but Teamspeak won't. It's not dependant on explorer as I can start the taskmanager and run it as a new task but when the application is added to the steam menu it wont load (It wont load even with explorer running when called from steam either)

I know you can add custom commands to a application load from steam maybe thats the route to go. Was wondering if anyone has any expereince with this or a work around? It's annoying having to boot it that way and even more annoying when I want to load it up to change channels.

(Guide to doing this btw is here: http://oakengearbox.blogspot.fr/2013/01/how-to-boot-your-pc-directly-to-steam.html)

Any help appreicated.
Rogan.

You could put a shortcut to Teamspeak in the Startup folder then it will start with Windows. Or in Teamspeak settings tell it to start with Windows.. :)

Tried, windows 8 works a bit different because it nativly boots to metro ui so wont load the start up folder until you load the desktop which i dont ever do as it dosnt load explorer.exe

I'll try n get a vid later on (at work atm) it'll be a windows8 problem no doubt, I run the 64bit version too so might try 32bit see if i can crack it.

Its just one of those annoying little niggles that makes u mash ur left mouse button in to the mouse pad 20times (As if that would even fix it ha!)
