Hello, I've recently cleaned out my computer. When doing so I accidentally knocked out a capacitor but that was soldered back in at a shop. I've also reapplied new thermal paste etc and the rest. That seemed to be all fine. However when turning on my computer there are three flashing red lights- and nothing else happened, apart from a slight twitch of movement of the cpu cooler fan. These three lights are : Boot Device LED, CPU LED, and VGA LED. I tried clearing the CMOS with the jumper, and I made sure everything else was fine.

My mobo: Asus P8Z68-V PRO

If you can help it is very greatly appreciated.

Have you tried starting it without the hdd and gpu?
Did they not test it was working after re-soldering the capacitor?

I had something very similar with a asus rampage 4 extreme edition red lights indicating the same as above. It occurred out of no where like you said.

I tried running with all gpus turned off took the drives out and they still happened.

It only posted AFTER i re seated the cpu ( bearing in mind it had been in there and working for months! )

May be worth a try!
