Startech PEXUSB3S2 issue

Hi ladies and gents.

I've just come across a weird issue with this device.

I am trying to use it with this device Silverstone TS231U but for some strange reason it just won't work properly.

Drivers installed from this page

Now when I plug the TS231U into the Startech all the drive does is go into a rebooting cycle like it's trying to initialize.

Now when I plug the TS231U into one of the USB's on the motherboard (GA-X38-DQ6 ) the drive boots up fine with no issues.

Just cant understand why it's not booting the drive up I've tried several drives and it does it with them all.

The only thing I can think of is that the device isn't getting enough power to it.

Just to let you know I've sorted this.

I was using some lindy 5m usb3 cable which was brand new, I put the original cable that come with the TS231U and it works perfectly.
