Started my own VPN..

Good evening!

I haven't been on here for a little while as I've been busy with college work and gaming.

Today I bought myself a domain and started up a VPN server, however I only get 0.5mb/s upload speeds.

Is there a way that I can contact my ISP (BT) and ask for my upload speeds to be increased?

Will this be free? Or will I have to pay out??

You will want to see how much your line can take first.

To do anything very worthwhile you're going to need a cable or fttc/fttp connection.

With an ADSL connection you're going to be limited to no more than 2mb/sec, and it's very unlikely you'll even get that.

^^ Except with Annex-M you won't see over ~1.3Mbit upload with ADSL anyhow and most ISPs don't support it, in reality you won't see speeds over 1Mbit/s. If its only 0.5Mbit either your still on the old ADSL 1 product or your line can't support higher.
