A friend has ask me what is the best starter DSLR out at the minute, and I must admit I am a little out of the loop on what the current models of Canon and Nikon would suit. They are willing to spend between £300 and £450.
What is the Nikon D3100 like compared to say the Canon 600D? Or what would match the 600D in the Nikon range?
It's for someone birthday and they just want to get them started with a good camera that will last a few years and that allows them to add lenes etc.
