All my bits are being delivered tomorrow and I'll be starting the build at some point.

The main confusion for me is going to be around the motherboard, BIOS and drivers.

I have bought the Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe Crossfire, and am not sure what I need to install on it first. I went to the Asus site and there are loads of downloads for the board, mostly without much description.

Can anyone give me any pointers?

Don't rush, it's quite easy to build a pc. Read the manual carefully and it should be fine.

I attach everything to the motherboard outside of the case and then put it in the case. I usually put the cpu and heatsink on first and then everything else just plugs in easily.

You should get a cd with all the drivers on, just install the chipset drivers first, then the graphics and sound, usb etc.

You shouldn't have to do anything in the BIOS, when you switch it on just put the bios to it's default settings and it should work fine.

read this guide if your not sure
