Hello,

I have Win7 Pro laptop with a program called PS3 Media Server installed for streaming from laptop to PS3.

I want to set up the program so it loads even before i have entered my password to my user account on the laptop.

Reason for this is that if I am out and someone in the house wants to use the Media Server all they have to do it power on the laptop to get the Media Server to load without entering my password or log on details.

Thanks for the help :)

I thought there was an option in PS3-MS to have it run as a service, wouldn't that do what you want?

Thanks for the replies.

Your right PMS does have an option to install a service but every time i do this it stops PMS from connecting to my PS3

Tried the Task Scheduler option and thats not working either. Although i might not of configured it properly. Might try it again now....

Thanks for the link to the PMS forum, tried that work around and still no joy.

Every time i enable the service it stops PMS from working

Well had a bit more luck with the Task Scheduler :)

It now loads PS3 Media server before log on which is great and its working/streaming.

However I then log on and say for example Ii need to make changes to the con-fig in PS3 Media server i load the .exe and it wont connect to the PS3.

I guess for some reason it thinks its already running.

So i have to delete the Task Scheduler PS3 entry reboot then load the PS3 Media Server .exe manually to get it to connect.

Turning into a right job this is :p

Thanks for the help ;)
