To unlock the bazzar you need a 1000 posts or 180 days clocked, then you buy all the almonds and pistachio your heart desires.

:)

Yes I suppose it might be a bit of a running joke to play around with new members with questions that amuse us (sorry) - the members market (affectionately known as the 'MM') is essentially what it says on the tin, a marketplace where you can buy, sell and trade used computer related, console gaming related, and A/V related items. Usually at prices far more reasonable than you would find elsewhere. :) - to access the members market you need to have made 1000 posts AND have been a member for 180 days.

You can also get free postage from the OcUK main site once you achieve 250 posts and 90 days of membership or 100 posts and 1 year of membership.

Also it is worth noting that spam posts to reach this target will be disapproved of by the moderators, your post count may be reduced, and if you do not heed the warnings it could result in a ban.

So you might be in for a long stretch, but keep the posts coming and keep them friendly and constructive and you'll be on the MM in no time. :D

Oh and ignore the 'Bazzar' bit. :p

PLEEEEASE tell me what the 'MM' and 'Bazzar' mean

1000 posts? Thats abit bloody steep!

I have been on many forums and i have never broken the 2k mark after 3-4 years of using them!

I can say for a fact most people wont make 1000 posts, 100 posts is more reasonable with a proper feedback system on each users account OR if you can prove you are a legitimate seller/buyer by proving so if you have a Ebay account with 100% + feedback or other forums which which have sales etc

just my 2 pence

It just helps to create a trusted environment if you're dealing with regulars who post often and have been here for a while.
The Trust feedback system also helps, like ebay (click the 'User's Trust' button on one of your posts to configure it. Click someone else's to see what it's about)

The limit used to be 250 posts before I joined and I hear that there were a lot of scamming incidents in there, hence the raise in entry requirements.

Most people never have a problem on there these days and I have to say that all my buying and selling has been a breeze, so it's worth it in my opinion.

@Acme
No worries pal, I couldn't even spell the damn word :o

This has been discussed COUNTLESS times.

Contribute to the community and get the benefit of access to the MM.

1,000 posts is NOTHING to someone who contributes every now and then.

MM access is 1,000 posts
MM has a feedback (trust) system
Don't like it - Tough.

well a year (maybe 2) ago it was 300 posts and 6 month member(ship).

That was upped as they still found scammers were able to use the site.

So it's only open to loyal members now, the problems have all but stopped, so it seems to work really well..

There is a feedback system, called trust. This also works well..

No need to change it IMO.
