slowly getting into bikes and have been tempted to do my bike test etc but still unsure if it's for me.

So with starting a new job i've brought myself a nice little scooter to start me off and see how i go. It's only a small 50cc Peugeot V-Click which i can use on my car license (i'm 33) but it's gonna be used for getting me the 5 miles to work and back everyday.

I'm planning on using this for 6 months and then look at doing my full test and getting something like a bandit/XJ6 as a first big bike.

anyone got any advice for a first time rider?

well selling it i can't do as i've only just purchased it.

Reason i went for a 50cc is cost. it would cost an additional £300 - £500 for a bike + CBT + Insurance.

If in 6 months time i feel i like it and want to upgrade i will. i will also be 6 months into my new job so past the probation period etc.

thankyou linkex for you help.

whilst a 125 would have been ideal i simply can't afford the cbt/insurance and extras cost of purchasing the bike.

I was made redundant 2 months ago so could only afford a 50cc/insurance and the extras. thats why in 6 months time i;; be able to afford the extra
