Starting out darts advice please?

My 15yr old son wants to start playing darts, I've managed to blag him a second hand Winmau Blade 5 board from a friend who runs a pub, and I've set it up on some MDF sheeting, I'd love some advice to point him in the right direction.

For starters, I'm looking for a half decent £20’ish set of darts for us both to use, and just some info/websites/apps to help him out, he's already better than me, so I'm no use!

You’re best to buy something like this;

Then just pick up 3 of 4 really cheap different sets of three darts so you can try different sizes and you might find you’re both polar opps with size and weight.

Or buy the 3 of 4 cheap sets and buy a pile of spares shafts as you’re going to snap and break loads of them and not so much the flights but you may find once they’ve fallen on the floor a few times they’ll no longer fit into the shaft.
