Starting WOW

Paladin- favorite class due to storyline in Warcraft 3

Druid- wanna be a wise old fart like Malfurion

Warlock- great lore from Warcraft 1&2 plus they look damn fun to play

Hunter- probably will be a hunter considering im not greatly keen on being a shaman
Warlocks & hunters are two of the most boring classes to play, unless you enjoy spam :)

I recommend druid, more fun than any other class, mainly because there's so much variety.

Druid > All.

As already said, you aren't missing much without BC, other than no Draenei or Blood Elves.

Just out of interest, why didn't you play the trial before buying it? (I know it's only £6, but still :P)

the trial has functionality limits,

im prepared to waste £20 on a 2 month subscription....since i loved Warcraft 1/2/3, chances are im going to like WOW.

Im just concerned about how much time you have to put into it to get to see end game content. Im a full time worker so am only really going to play maybe 3 nights a week max.

I dont think you will get to see any end game without getting Burning Crusade. When i quit last year no one was even touching the lvl 50-60 instances. Its a shame that some of the great instances like UBRS, Onyxia, BWL will never see use again. People just wanna get to lvl 70. From 60-70 you will see more people doing instances. but you will need expansion for that.

shame really

and also, no one will be raiding at all in any lvl 70 instances. Most guilds are no having a break from raiding until WOTLK comes out, so lvl 70 raids are a no no too :)

Only end game you are gonna see is lvl 80 stuff

If you have a look about the recruitment forums there are a couple of pre-TBC content raiding guilds but I would imagine getting into them would be nigh on impossible as they seem quite popular.

i realise that, dont think ill get to end game anyway for about 6 months anyway.

one thing my research into the game has shown, is that Blizz should have implemented one big storyline in the game where finishing one instance will send you to the next and so on and so on....that way some nice content would be far more frequented.

People will do the old stuff again for achievements most definitely.

I know I'm gonna be going in to try solo Onyxia at 80.

Yes, trial accounts are annoying, I would go with the full account.

I have stopped playing myself though, the game just doesn't offer what i want anymore, not sure what changed, maybe when you get over 100 days /played it just all gets too old.

I will say that it's going to e a long time before you see endgame, and unless you're playing with people you know it can be a pain in the backside. One of the main reasons i stopped playing the first time was because I played with people i knew and they stopped playing.

Depends, I know people with way higher than that, that still play.

I must have well over 200 across all my characters, my old Rogue alone has 130 odd days and that was from pre-TBC! Never got it past 62 as I got bored of the class.

well with wotlk it seems that its going to be one big story set around arthus which is a better change from tbc

it will be interesting how fast you level for the first time since they made 1 to 60 pretty fast :P

another question, been reading up more that new content graphics such as a graphics change to Lady Sylvanas and Varian Wrynn is being implemented.

any idea if things like this are happening on the patch due out in a few weeks or if that will be implemented with WOTLK?
