Hey i just finished watching season 7 of Deep Space Nine and i fancy trying out a few startrek games. I have never really paid much attention to any game related to startrek being released, but I'm curious now. :p

Does anyone have any recommendations for a top 5-10 startrek games?;)

Bridge commander with mods.

Get star trek bridge commander and download nanoFX 2.0 beta.
Even without new textures, ships etcetc, it loosk quite okay.
If you want more just get on www.bcfiles.com and download 10+ k poly ships with several 2024x2024 texture maps.

Doesn't look that bad for such an ages old game doesn't it :

BOTF is still a favourite shame it's unstable.
Google botf armadafleetcommand and you'll find a good fansite for it.

The newest one (legacy) aint really one of my favourites, although it has nice mods and gfx the gameplay is poor compared to BC imo.

Armada 2 is an RTS I quite like but i never played armada 1 and some ppl swear armada 1 is better.

Then theres those FPS wich run on the quake 3 engine, played em but were poorer games than the avg shooter.

iirc Start trek ds9 ( game) was poor.

There was 2 DS9 games btw. both werent that good.
The 1st Elite force wasnt bad, 2nd one just.. didnt feel so great.
I would try legacy.. its a game with loads of potential but.. failed, apparently its better better on xbox however.

Armada (1 not 2) was a hell of a lot of fun... it had this cinematic combat thing in it where the ships would slowly maneuver whilst fighting, looked really awesome... Armada 2 scrapped that.

Klingon Academy, an old game but for me its my favorite. No other games come close for ship to ship combat. Love the way you can just shoot off individual parts of the ship and watch the plasma leaks.

cant remember what it was called ... but it was like you were captain of the ship and you could view inside , control it etc .

The three games I've played are..

Probably too old now, but Klingon Honour Guard was fun, going round slicing people up with a bat'leth.

Elite Force was pretty good too, never played the second one I'll have to get hold of it from somewhere.

I never really got into Legacy, it looked good but the control system got on my nerves.

PK!

Ah yes theres also klingon academy.

Okay so imo ( best to good games):

STBC> BOTF> ST Klingon academy> Armada 2> Starfleet command series

STBC, Star trek bridge commander, how can you forget :p:p ?

For me it would have to be the following:

Bridge Commander
Elite Force I/II
Armada II

all top games, especially Bridge Commander with mods played it sooo much! :D

Bridge Commander.

Desperately require Bridge Commander II with DX10/updated shaders and effects so that its even more realistic then the shows:)

Wonder if such a game is being made or considered ;)

I guess the next trek game might be just called Star Trek....

Elite Force is good fun, decent story and if you enjoy it, pick up the sequel as its much of the same.

My favourite has to have been Bridge Commander though, especially with the adundence of mods out there which can turn the game into something really special and deep.

Legacy was fun but probably only because I played it on Xbox 360, worth picking up though as it has original voiceovers and a somewhat interesting story and combat system.

Others that were good in their day are Armada I/II, Klingon Academy.
