Startup issue Gigabyte P35-DS3P

Hi all,

I have recently built a new PC using the Gigabyte P35-DS3P. Since overclocking, I have noticed that on cold startup it shuts down after 1 sec, then powers back up again after 2-3 secs. Is this normal?? Everything seems OK, overclock has worked OK, everything functioning normally etc.

Bit concerned about how this is going to effect the life of the PSU, flicking on, then flicking off again from cold.

Any help or comments appreciated.

Specs:
P35-DS3P with Q6600 (at 3ghz)
4gb Corsair
2 x hard discs
8800 GTS 640mb
Corsair HX620 PSU

im pretty sure this is normal. Happens on my ip35-e too.

I also have a P35 DS3P on pressing the power button my pc starts then pause’s for couple of seconds then powers up, no worries.

OK cool, thanks for the replies guys, at least I'm not the only one! OLDPHART do you have your system overclocked? Does that have anything to do with it?

My pc is overclocked,it does exactly the same stock on start up.
