a friend has a problem with their pc, when she starts up the computer (DFI Infinity Dark, e6600, Ballistix RAM, 8800 GTS), it goes to the windows loading screen and freezes for a good 5 minutes before going into windows... once in everything is fine...
it shuts down ok, but standby doesn't work, the fans stay on and basically it all messes up and you need a hard reset...
an interesting point is that if while the load freezes, you press reset, it then restarts and enters windows at normal speed, but only after a reset.
i've tried resetting the bios to optimised defaults to no avail... could anybody offer any advice?
