Recently built my first system:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4.
Processor: AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 550 3.10GHz Black Edition.
Memory: OCZ Obsidian 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 Dual Channel.
Graphics Card: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5
Power Supply: Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi Compliant Power Supply.
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB SATA-II 32MB Cache.
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

The first few days everything was fine no errors at all but after about 3 days the following error occurred (and keeps occurring – it only happens on the first boot up of the day!):

Windows 7 starts as normal, it then goes past the welcome screen and the screen goes blank (you can still see the cursor) sometimes I will get the error message that “Windows Explorer has stopped working”.

Today for the first time a new error message was shown "Desktop Window Manager has stopped working"

Any Help appreciated.

Thanks
Ben

Thanks

I did have trouble installing the drivers for my TV card, it works fine in media centre and is not showing any issues in device manager.

I think i will remove the card and see what happens on tomorrows first boot up!

Thanks again
Ben

Started it up this morning, after the welcome screen the screen went black (couldnt see the cursor) after about 20 seconds the desktop was shown!

THEN....

The "Desktop Window Manager has stopped working" message popped up, and the screen went white!

Think I am going to have to do a clean install.
