Starwars prequel trilogy boxset

You can guarantee it will come out just in time for the Christmas market rush, be it this year, next year or whenever.. Lucas knows it's the golden goose and will net him huuuuuge profits!

gotta agree with the above! or could he wait until the animated series is released and milk it for all it is worth then?

I'm suprised they havn't released one actually, but if they do, they'll probably not add anything to the existing 2Disk DVDs for each prequel, maybe add a 4th box with a new doc or two, if that.

If anything big and new does end up coming out, it'll be probably around the big animated series eventually comes out, or perhaps when the live action TV series nears its airing.

as far as i am aware there will be a live and an animated series, i think the animated series is goin to be first though, and yes it will probably be more clone wars stuff :(

i would like a remake of the episode 4,5,6, purely because when i watched the end of episode 3 and went to watch episode 4 again, i was waiting to see big bad DV, but then lo and behold who stumples onto the ship but laughable ol vader! doh, the old uns could have been sooo much more sinister!

Or....

2007 - just in time for ANH's 30th birthday.

True, forgot about that.

just shame they won't make anymore films!

If George Lucas lets other directors have a go at the TV series, then there may well be some decent stuff coming out of it, as although the prequel trilogy were all great films, they were lacking a few cetain things to me to make them brilliant compared to the original trilogy, Lucas just can't direct actors to get good convincing lines out of them. You can get amazing Star Wars stories out there, look at Knights of the Old Repblic for PC/Xbox, the story in that is far more interesting compared to how the prequels pan out.

Nail hit head.

I personally think if there is a TV Series they shouldn't connect it with the characters in the the films, as you said like KotOR. I loved KotOR because it didn't try to tie in with the films, it just went off and built a new story in the star wars galaxy.

Young Indiana Jones disaster springs to mind. I wouldn't count on spin offs of any kind until existing set of 6 is fully exploited. Lucas mastered his ways of always creating stretch points of fanbase interest and is more than capable of flogging the same material multiple times. Remastered, digitaly remastered, high definition remastered, originally scratched, fully originally scratched, downmixed to mono, extended, shortened, directors cut, directors wife's cut, you name it he's done it, then you have the new media rush, VHS set, laser disk set, DVD set, HD DVD set, DHD DVD set. No spinoffs for the next 10 years at least. You know it's true.
